Chanel seeks Business and Financial Analyst Intern in Geneva—6-month role analyzing global travel retail performance with Excel, Power BI.
Role & Responsibilities
- Produce monthly reports on global travel retail performance and develop ad hoc analyses in response to management requests
- Assist in building transversal financial analyses including dedicated P&L statements and KPI evaluation
- Monitor and analyze industry key players' financial results and performance metrics
- Cultivate and maintain partnerships with travel retail data providers and regional teams for data consolidation
- Validate data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all reporting sources
- Participate in the development and refinement of reporting tools in collaboration with IT teams
- Support the Global Travel Retail Team with functional budget monitoring and analysis
- Address cross-functional analytical requests from Chanel colleagues with responsiveness and precision
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a business school or university, with a major in Finance preferred
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, business analysis, or related role
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
- Fluency in French and English (written and verbal)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with an agile mindset
- Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
- Valid internship agreement meeting institutional requirements (part of study program, required for degree completion, validated by academic credits)
Skills
Experience
Proven experience in financial or business analysis or a similar analytical role is required. Prior experience in the luxury and travel retail industries is advantageous but not essential.
Education
Bachelor's degree from a business school or university. A major in Finance is preferred.
