Chanel seeks a Business & Economic Insight Intern in Paris for a 6-month role analyzing global luxury sector trends and strategy.
Role & Responsibilities
- Contribute to strategic analyses and ad hoc studies on the luxury sector, its competitors, categories, and key markets
- Analyze sector performance and competitive dynamics using quantitative and qualitative data sources
- Track and interpret international macroeconomic and sector news, identifying developments with potential impact on luxury markets
- Participate in cross-functional projects with other Global Insight & Foresight teams, divisions, regions, and external partners including strategy consultancies and industry experts
- Support data consolidation, structuring, and analysis used by the team, and contribute to ongoing development of analytical tools and data infrastructure
- Prepare analytical and synthesis documents for distribution to internal stakeholders across the organization
Qualifications
- Master's degree student in business school, engineering school, Sciences Po, or university
- Strong intellectual curiosity and excellent analytical, synthesis, and structuring capabilities
- Comfort with numerical data and ability to integrate quantitative analysis with qualitative reasoning
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Prior experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, equity research, economic analysis, or finance/strategy roles (preferably in luxury or consumer goods sectors) is advantageous

First internship or prior experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, equity research, economic analysis, or finance/strategy functions, ideally within luxury or consumer goods sectors.
Education
Master's degree student in business, engineering, political science (Sciences Po), or equivalent university program.
