Chanel seeks a Store Operations Assistant for a 6-month internship (July–December 2023) at its Roissy boutique, supporting retail operations and performance analytics.
Role & Responsibilities
- Monitor daily retail performance indicators including traffic, average basket size, and monthly targets by product category
- Analyze commercial performance metrics for sales associates and product lines, including sell-through and inventory coverage
- Support preparation and sales tracking of new collections
- Provide analytical support to store management (sales, visual merchandising, alterations) for operational decision-making
- Onboard new team members by coordinating uniform distribution, access credentials, and IT systems setup
- Assist in preparing team briefings and operational meetings
- Support the Store Operations Manager in coordinating general services to maintain store presentation standards
- Contribute to optimizing store results and performance in alignment with brand strategy
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a business school, engineering school, or university program
- Minimum 6 months of prior experience in analytical roles (management, finance, or marketing) or retail environment
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel including advanced functions and VBA
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated interest in fashion and luxury retail
Skills
Experience
Minimum 6 months of experience in an analytical capacity within management, finance, or marketing functions, or equivalent retail operations experience.
Education
Currently enrolled in a business school, engineering school, or university degree program.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Roissy-en-France, Île-de-France, France, with easy access to Paris.
