Chanel seeks a Boutique Manager in Tokyo (Kantō) to lead boutique operations, sales and client experience for the Maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day boutique operations across the Kantō location(s), ensuring adherence to Chanel’s service standards, merchandising principles and visual guidelines.
- Drive sales performance and KPI delivery through sales coaching, clienteling strategies and rigorous management of conversion, average transaction value and retention metrics.
- Recruit, develop and inspire a high-performing sales team through structured training, performance reviews and succession planning.
- Manage inventory, stock reconciliation and loss-prevention processes to safeguard merchandise and optimise availability.
- Own boutique P&L accountability: implement sales plans, control operating expenses and translate corporate directives into local commercial initiatives.
- Oversee local marketing and client engagement activities in collaboration with regional teams to cultivate high-value relationships and grow the Maison’s client base.
- Maintain operational compliance with corporate policies, labour regulations and brand security standards.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership capability with a track record of building and motivating retail teams in a luxury environment.
- Demonstrable ability to meet and exceed sales targets and to interpret and act on retail KPIs.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing inventory controls, visual merchandising execution and store-level P&L responsibility.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on high-net-worth client relationship management and personalised clienteling.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and peak retail periods; right to work in Japan.

Experience
At least five years of progressive retail experience, with a minimum of three years in the luxury fashion sector and at least two years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
