Chanel seeks an IT Project Management Specialist in Bangkok for a 2-year contract. Lead retail technology initiatives and digital infrastructure projects.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT infrastructure and technology projects for boutique operations
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including retail operations, merchandising, and finance to define project scope and requirements
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure on-time completion within specifications
- Oversee implementation of point-of-sale systems, inventory management platforms, and retail technology solutions
- Monitor project progress and prepare detailed status reports for senior management and stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks throughout project lifecycles
- Ensure compliance with Chanel's global IT governance policies and security protocols
- Collaborate with regional IT teams and external vendors to optimize system performance and user adoption
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related discipline
- Proven experience managing IT projects within a luxury retail or boutique environment
- Strong proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks)
- Demonstrated expertise with retail management systems, e-commerce platforms, or point-of-sale technologies
- Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure, network requirements, and cybersecurity principles
- Advanced proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Asana
Skills
Experience
5–8 years of progressive experience in IT project management, ideally within luxury retail, fashion, or hospitality sectors. Prior experience managing technology deployments across multiple retail locations is highly valued.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
