Chanel Vancouver seeks a Boutique Director to lead boutique operations, drive sales growth and cultivate VIP client relationships.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the boutique’s commercial performance through strategic planning, objective-setting and rigorous P&L stewardship.
- Develop and coach a high-performing retail team, overseeing recruitment, training, performance management and succession planning.
- Own client development and retention strategies, including VIP servicing, clienteling and personalised relationship management.
- Ensure flawless execution of visual merchandising and boutique standards in line with Chanel brand directives.
- Manage inventory, stock replenishment, loss-prevention and operational controls to optimise sell-through and minimize shrinkage.
- Plan and execute local events, trunk shows and product launches to maximise brand exposure and sales conversion.
- Monitor retail KPIs, produce regular reporting and translate insights into actionable initiatives to drive sales and margin.
- Ensure full compliance with corporate policies, local labour laws and regulatory requirements, including health & safety.
- Collaborate with regional leadership on assortment, pricing and promotional strategy to align boutique activity with wider brand goals.
- Represent the brand externally with the highest standards of professionalism and client confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in luxury retail leadership with responsibility for P&L and multi-disciplinary team management.
- Demonstrable ability to coach and develop talent, with experience in recruitment, performance reviews and staff development plans.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting and KPI-driven performance improvement.
- Expertise in clienteling and VIP service delivery within a high-touch luxury environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with experience in inventory control, visual merchandising and loss-prevention practices.
- Superior interpersonal skills, discretion and the capacity to represent a prestige brand at the highest level.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, hospitality, fashion or equivalent professional experience.
