Chanel is hiring a Boutique Director for Westfield UTC, San Diego — lead the boutique, drive sales and deliver exceptional client experiences.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead all commercial activities of the Westfield UTC boutique to achieve and exceed sales, margin and KPI targets; own local P&L and budgeting processes.
  • Recruit, develop and mentor a high-performing sales and operations team; set performance standards, deliver coaching and conduct regular reviews.
  • Drive an elevated clienteling programme for acquisition, retention and VIP management, ensuring personalised service and long-term client relationships.
  • Ensure flawless boutique presentation and adherence to Chanel visual merchandising, product placement and brand standards.
  • Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising assortments and loss-prevention protocols in coordination with regional teams.
  • Collaborate with regional and headquarters functions (merchandising, marketing, CRM, HR) to execute launches, events and localised commercial initiatives.
  • Manage day-to-day operational excellence including staffing, scheduling, compliance, cash handling and administrative reporting.

Qualifications

  • Proven management track record in luxury retail with responsibility for store P&L and commercial targets.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead, coach and develop teams to deliver exceptional service and measurable sales growth.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in inventory management, forecasting and KPI analysis.
  • Deep understanding of luxury client behaviour, VIP service protocols and high-touch clienteling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; professional presence appropriate to a luxury environment.

Experience
