Chanel is hiring a Boutique Assistant Manager in Osaka. Lead a luxury sales team, deliver client experiences and support boutique operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Boutique Manager in achieving sales targets and retail KPIs across the Kansai region; drive daily performance through coaching and direct selling when required.
- Lead, mentor and develop the boutique sales team, managing scheduling, training and performance reviews to maintain high service standards.
- Oversee clienteling activities and ensure exemplary customer relationship management and after-sales service consistent with brand protocols.
- Ensure strict adherence to visual merchandising directives, store presentation standards and inventory controls including stock accuracy and loss-prevention practices.
- Execute operational tasks such as shift handovers, cash handling procedures, store opening/closing and liaison with regional management for reporting and action plans.
- Act as brand ambassador on the sales floor, delivering product knowledge and a refined client experience; handle escalated client enquiries and VIP relationships as required.
Qualifications
- Proven managerial or supervisory experience within luxury retail or premium boutiques, preferably within fashion, leather goods or accessories.
- Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and managing retail KPIs.
- Strong leadership and people-development capabilities, with experience in coaching and performance management.
- Excellent interpersonal and clienteling skills, demonstrating discretion and high standards of service.
- Flexibility to work retail hours including evenings, weekends and peak seasonal periods.

Experience
Typically 3+ years of progressive experience in luxury or premium retail with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager role supporting a boutique or store leader.
Education
Secondary education required; bachelor's degree in business, fashion, retail management or related discipline preferred.
