Chanel in Pantin seeks a Bioclinical Evaluation Technician (contract) for Parfums Beauté R&D, executing clinical tests and instrumental skin evaluations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute bioclinical evaluation protocols for cosmetic and fragrance products, including in vivo patch tests and non‑invasive instrumental measurements.
  • Prepare, label and manage biological and instrumental samples; ensure chain-of-custody and accurate sample documentation.
  • Operate and maintain skin analysis instrumentation (e.g., corneometer, cutometer, chromameter, TEWL devices) and verify calibration.
  • Collect, clean and enter study data; perform basic quality-control checks and contribute to study reports and result summaries.
  • Ensure strict compliance with internal quality systems, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and relevant cosmetics regulations (including ISO/good manufacturing guidelines where applicable).
  • Coordinate with internal R&D scientists, safety assessors and external CROs; assist in subject recruitment logistics and on-site study operations when required.

Qualifications

  • BTS/DUT or Licence level in biology, biochemistry, cosmetic science, pharmacy laboratory technician training, or equivalent.
  • Practical experience in bioclinical or cosmetic testing laboratories (ideally 1–3 years).
  • Knowledge of GLP and cosmetics regulatory constraints (e.g., ISO 22716 and EU Cosmetics Regulation) and experience with clinical/bioclinical protocols.
  • Rigorous laboratory practice, meticulous documentation and strong sense of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional R&D teams and liaise with external partners.

BTS/DUT or Licence (Bac+2/3) in Biology, Biochemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Technology or equivalent laboratory qualification.
