Chanel seeks a Bespoke Tailor in Düsseldorf — experienced couture tailor for made-to-measure, fittings and high-end alterations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute bespoke and made-to-measure garment construction from initial measurements through final fittings, ensuring impeccable fit and finish.
- Develop and adapt patterns for individual clients and alterations, preserving design intent and couture standards.
- Perform precision hand-stitching, couture finishing (pad-stitching, hand hems, buttonholes) and high-quality machine work as required.
- Lead and conduct client fittings, recommend technical adjustments, and communicate fit solutions to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the local atelier, boutiques and central couture teams to maintain consistency of standards and documentation for bespoke pieces.
- Inspect finished garments for quality control, manage repair and alteration requests, and ensure timely delivery of made-to-measure orders.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion with high-profile clientele and sensitive product information.
Qualifications
- Completed vocational training in tailoring (Gesellenbrief) or equivalent; Meisterbrief or advanced couture diploma preferred.
- Proven mastery of couture techniques including precise hand-stitching, pad-stitching, pressing and finishing.
- Deep knowledge of pattern making, garment construction and fitting for tailored garments.
- Demonstrable experience working with luxury fabrics (silk, fine wools, leather) and delicate trims.
- Exceptional attention to detail, manual dexterity and a commitment to haute couture quality standards.
- Ability to manage multiple bespoke projects with punctual delivery and rigorous documentation.

Experience
Minimum 5+ years' experience in luxury tailoring, couture ateliers or high-end made-to-measure services, with demonstrable history of creating bespoke garments and conducting client fittings.
Education
Vocational training in tailoring (Gesellenbrief) or equivalent; Meisterbrief or advanced couture qualification preferred.
