Chanel in Lanzhou seeks a Beauty Advisor — Fragrance & Skincare to deliver bespoke client consultations and drive sales in the perfumery and beauty boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver bespoke, client-focused consultations across fragrance, skincare and makeup; recommend products and rituals tailored to individual needs.
- Drive sales performance and meet boutique KPIs through proactive clienteling, follow-up and conversion of both walk-in and appointment clients.
- Demonstrate expert product knowledge and perform makeup application, skin analysis and fragrance fitting to industry-leading standards.
- Maintain the boutique’s visual merchandising and product presentation in line with Chanel brand guidelines.
- Manage stock levels, replenish displays, handle product samples and support inventory counts with accuracy.
- Operate the point-of-sale, process transactions and ensure flawless cash and administrative procedures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with VIP clients, manage appointments and record client preferences in CRM.
- Participate in brand training, product launches and promotional activities; ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum secondary education; vocational qualification in cosmetology, aesthetics or related discipline preferred.
- Previous retail experience in cosmetics, fragrance or luxury beauty, preferably 1–3 years in a client-facing sales role.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and cultivate repeat clientele in a premium retail environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, polished presentation and a professional demeanour consistent with a luxury brand.
- Flexible availability to work retail hours, including evenings, weekends and peak promotional periods.
- Legal right to work in the People’s Republic of China.

Experience
Preferably 1–3 years of direct experience in cosmetics, fragrance or luxury retail sales with demonstrable results in meeting sales targets and developing repeat clients.
Education
Secondary school diploma required; vocational training or certificate in cosmetology/aesthetics preferred.

The successful candidate will be located in Lanzhou, Gansu, China.
