Chanel is hiring a Beauty Advisor — Fragrance & Beauty in Shanghai. Join Chanel to advise clients on perfumes, skincare and make‑up within a luxury boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional client service in Chanel’s fragrance and beauty assortment through tailored consultations, product demonstrations and make-up or skincare application.
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets through proactive selling, cross-selling and effective clienteling.
- Build and maintain a high-quality client book using follow-up, appointment management and CRM tools to nurture long-term relationships.
- Maintain impeccable boutique standards: visual merchandising, stock accuracy, sample management and adherence to brand presentation guidelines.
- Execute point-of-sale transactions, returns and after-sales service with accuracy and discretion.
- Participate in brand training, product launches and in-store events; act as a product and brand ambassador at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven customer-facing experience in premium retail or cosmetics (typically 1–2 years preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-centric, consultative selling approach.
- Demonstrable knowledge or strong interest in perfume, skincare and make-up techniques.
- Professional grooming and the ability to represent the Chanel brand with discretion and poise.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and peak retail periods.
Skills
Experience
Experience in luxury retail or premium cosmetics sales is preferred; candidates with 1–2 years of client advisory or beauty consultant experience will be advantaged. Prior exposure to brand-led training and achievement of sales targets is desirable.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in cosmetology, beauty therapy or make-up artistry preferred.
