Chanel — Montreal seeks a Beauty Advisor (Fragrance & Beauty) to deliver luxury client experiences and drive sales in-store.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide personalised consultations and product recommendations across fragrance, skincare and makeup to cultivate long-term client relationships and maximise sales.
- Achieve individual and boutique sales KPIs through conversion, average transaction value growth and proactive clienteling.
- Execute Chanel merchandising and visual standards within the boutique, including product presentation, stock rotation and promotional displays.
- Manage point-of-sale transactions, returns and basic inventory tasks while ensuring accuracy and compliance with brand procedures.
- Support boutique events, private client appointments and sampling initiatives to deepen client engagement and loyalty.
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge across launches and formulations; communicate product benefits and usage with clarity and confidence.
Qualifications
- Professional demeanour with excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills in a luxury retail setting.
- Fluent in French and English (spoken); additional languages an asset for a multilingual client base.
- Demonstrable interest in cosmetics, skincare and fragrance with the ability to translate technical product information into client-focused benefits.
- Customer-service orientation with a proven record of meeting sales targets and managing client follow-up.
- Flexible availability including weekends and evenings to accommodate boutique trading hours and client appointments.
Skills
Experience
Preferably 1–3 years of direct retail experience within luxury beauty, cosmetics or fragrance; experience in high-end boutiques or department store beauty counters is highly valued.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; professional training or certification in cosmetology, esthetics or makeup artistry preferred.
