Chanel is hiring a Beauty Advisor for the Fragrance & Beauty division in Hefei — client-facing retail role delivering luxury skincare, makeup and fragrance consultations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised, consultative client service at the Fragrance & Beauty counter to cultivate long‑term relationships and maximise client lifetime value.
- Perform professional skincare analysis, makeup application and fragrance profiling to recommend appropriate Chanel products and routines.
- Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and KPIs through proactive clienteling, follow‑up and appointment management.
- Maintain visual merchandising, product presentation and sample displays in accordance with Chanel visual and hygiene standards.
- Manage stock rotation, replenishment and accurate paperwork including receipts, returns and inventory reconciliation.
- Use CRM and POS systems to record client interactions, maintain dossiers and support targeted marketing activities.
- Represent the brand at events, masterclasses and in‑store promotions, demonstrating product expertise and brand heritage.
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation and regulatory requirements for cosmetics and fragrances.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to deliver luxury retail service with a client-first mentality; presence and grooming aligned with brand standards.
- Vocational diploma or high school completion; cosmetology, esthetics or beauty‑industry certification preferred.
- Practical knowledge of makeup application, skincare consultation and perfume fragrance families.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience meeting sales targets in premium or luxury beauty environments.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in Mandarin; proficiency in conversational English is advantageous.
- Ability to work retail hours including evenings, weekends and peak promotional periods.
Skills
Experience
Typically 1–3 years of frontline beauty or cosmetics counter experience, ideally within a prestige or luxury brand; experience in fragrance or skincare specialisms is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in cosmetology/esthetician disciplines preferred.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Hefei, Anhui, China.
