Chanel in Marseille seeks a Beauty Advisor (Alternance) starting Sept 2026 — apprenticeship role delivering client consultations, sales and in‑store service.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored one‑to‑one beauty consultations and makeup/skincare services to build lasting client relationships and maximize client retention.
  • Achieve individual and store sales objectives through active clienteling, product demonstrations and up‑selling of skincare, makeup and fragrance ranges.
  • Maintain boutique presentation and merchandising standards, ensuring products and visual displays reflect Chanel’s brand guidelines.
  • Manage stock, back‑office replenishment and point‑of‑sale transactions with accuracy and discretion.
  • Participate in training, in‑store events and product launches; support promotional activities and local marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and luxury service protocols while delivering an impeccable client experience.

Qualifications

  • Eligible for an alternance (apprenticeship/dual‑training) contract in France and available to start in September 2026.
  • Enrolled in or recently completed vocational/post‑secondary training in cosmetics, retail, commerce or a related discipline (e.g. CAP, BTS, Bachelor).
  • Professional presentation, strong client orientation and a service mindset appropriate to a luxury environment.
  • Flexible availability including weekends and key retail trading hours.

Skills

Practical knowledge of skincare and makeup application techniques Clienteling and relationship management Retail sales and up‑selling techniques Merchandising and visual presentation Stock control and basic cash/POS operations High level of verbal communication and interpersonal skills in French Ability to learn product information quickly and apply brand standards

Experience

No minimum experience required; previous retail or cosmetics experience is advantageous. Candidates with customer‑facing roles or internships in beauty, luxury retail or hospitality will be preferred.

Education

Enrolled in or pursuing a vocational/post‑secondary qualification in cosmetics, retail sales, commerce or an equivalent program (CAP, BTS, Bachelor level preferred).
