Chanel seeks a Back of House Assistant in Gstaad to manage stockroom, inventory and shipments for the boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day stockroom operations including receipt, inspection and accurate staging of incoming merchandise.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, reconciliation and collaboration with the boutique management team.
- Prepare, package and coordinate shipments, internal transfers and client deliveries in adherence with luxury presentation standards.
- Support visual merchandising and sales teams by ensuring timely replenishment and availability of key items on the shop floor.
- Uphold stringent loss-prevention procedures, security protocols and documentation for high-value goods.
- Ensure the back-of-house area meets cleanliness, organization and maintenance standards at all times.
- Perform basic administrative tasks (logistics documentation, stock logs) and liaise with regional logistics or central warehouse when required.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable attention to detail and a meticulous approach to handling high-value merchandise.
- Discretion and professionalism when working with clients’ purchases and confidential delivery information.
- Physical ability to perform stockroom tasks, including lifting and prolonged standing.
- Strong teamwork orientation and the capacity to collaborate with boutique sales and store management.
- Familiarity with retail inventory practices and loss-prevention protocols; prior experience in luxury retail preferred.
Skills
Experience
Preferably 1–2 years of experience in retail back-of-house, stockroom or logistics roles; prior exposure to luxury or premium-brand environments is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in retail, logistics or a related field preferred.
