At Chanel’s Chamant site, the Automated Systems Operator works with the powder production team to operate and adjust equipment and ensure packaging processes meet quality, hygiene, and safety standards. The role covers line supply, quality controls, preventive maintenance, production performance, continuous improvement, and colleague training.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Operate and adjust automatic packaging machines according to established operating procedures.
  • Conduct analyses and interventions, restart equipment after malfunctions, and report anomalies.
  • Ensure line supply, including ordering components and semi-finished products and replenishing workstations.
  • Regularly inspect the quality of packaged products, analyze quality issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Complete the production schedule within the assigned deadlines and operating pace, and work with the team to maintain defined productivity and performance levels.
  • Organize and clean the workstation and machinery.
  • Participate in preventive equipment maintenance in collaboration with the maintenance team.
  • Recommend improvements in quality, safety, technical operations, and productivity.
  • Train colleagues in equipment operation and adjustment through on-the-job mentoring, and help welcome and integrate new employees.

Qualifications

  • Initial technical training, such as CIMA or a vocational baccalaureate (Bac Pro).
  • Knowledge of production equipment.
  • Strong technical foundations in mechanics, pneumatics, electricity, and automation, alongside a sound understanding of safety, quality, and performance.
  • Ability to combine rigour and efficiency and work in an organized, methodical manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Good analytical skills; regularly propose ideas for improvement and demonstrate initiative.
  • Knowledge of IT tools, including SAP and Pack Office.
