Chanel Associate Director, Client Development role at South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa. Lead luxury client engagement strategy and boutique relationships. $138.7K–$160K annually.
Role & Responsibilities
- Set vision and develop client development strategy for VIP, High Potential, and top client segments
- Develop and implement strategies aligned to boutique priorities to improve Voice of Client feedback in partnership with management
- Represent the brand as a Chanel ambassador, inspiring boutique teams and engaging elite prospects
- Define and execute clienteling strategies targeting specific client segments through partnership with boutique management and corporate teams
- Lead client and business development initiatives creating exceptional experiences in partnership with boutique priorities, category managers, and the Fashion Client Engagement & Development team
- Develop and implement high ROI event strategies including grassroots activations in collaboration with boutique management and Events team
- Build a strong high-end local clientele by leveraging extensive networks and established community relationships
- Identify and target high-potential clients, creating curated experiences to increase retention and loyalty
- Partner with corporate teams to elevate programs for top clients including gifting initiatives and exclusive event access
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of related leadership experience
- Proven track record developing and executing client engagement and loyalty strategies
- Extensive professional network and established relationships within luxury retail and high-net-worth communities
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in complex, ambiguous environments
- Ability to lift 15 lbs regularly
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and select holidays
Skills
Experience
Minimum 7 years of leadership experience in luxury retail, client development, or related commercial environments. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record designing and executing client engagement programs, building high-end clientele networks, and managing cross-functional initiatives. Experience in boutique management, luxury brand marketing, or client services within the fashion or luxury goods sector is highly valued. The ideal candidate possesses an established presence within affluent communities and existing relationships with high-net-worth prospects.
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred.
