Chanel — Paris: Stage Assistant Retail Merchandiser Maroquinerie (Internship) starting July 2026. Internship supporting leather goods assortment and retail planning.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Retail Merchandising team for maroquinerie (handbags and small leather goods) across store assortment planning and product allocation.
  • Prepare sales and inventory analysis, track sell-through rates and propose replenishment or merchandising adjustments.
  • Assist in building seasonal assortments, planograms and price/size/color mixes for boutiques.
  • Coordinate with Wholesale/Retail operations, planning and supply teams to ensure timely stock availability and execution of launches.
  • Produce clear presentations and reports for internal stakeholders (sales, buying, visual merchandising) using PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Contribute to in-store merchandising standards by liaising with Visual Merchandising on POS materials and display implementation.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform assortment decisions and product positioning.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Fashion Merchandising, Luxury Brand Management, Business, or equivalent.
  • Previous internship or project experience in retail merchandising, buying or store operations preferred.
  • Strong numerical and analytical aptitude with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Experience
