Chanel in Taipei City seeks an Assistant Retail Development Manager — Fragrance & Beauty to manage store projects, visual execution and retail rollouts.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end retail development projects for fragrance and beauty, including new store openings, renovations and concept rollouts across the Taiwan market.
  • Coordinate with in-house merchandising, visual, operations and regional teams to translate global retail standards into locally executable plans.
  • Manage project timelines, procurement and third-party vendors to ensure delivery on quality, budget and schedule.
  • Oversee space planning, store layout and fixture implementation to maintain brand consistency and optimise commercial performance.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost estimates and approval documents; escalate risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Liaise with franchise partners, landlords and contractors to secure permits, manage build phases and complete handovers.
  • Conduct site surveys, provide technical briefings and review technical drawings to guarantee feasibility and compliance with specifications.
  • Support post-opening reviews and performance analysis to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and local adaptation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, interior design, architecture or related field preferred.
  • Proven track record in retail development, store projects or operations within luxury fashion or beauty (preferred experience in fragrance/beauty).
  • Strong project management capabilities with experience managing multi-stakeholder retail builds or refurbishments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, vendors and on-site contractors while maintaining brand standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the capacity to coordinate cross-functional and external teams in a matrix environment.
