Chanel seeks an Assistant Product Manager for Nordstrom Valley Fair in San Jose — a merchandising role supporting assortment, inventory and client presentation.

Role & Responsibilities
- Support the local merchandise strategy for the Nordstrom Valley Fair location, ensuring assortment, display and inventory align with Chanel brand standards and sales objectives.
- Collaborate closely with Nordstrom merchant teams to execute seasonal allocations, promotions and replenishment plans; monitor sell-through and recommend adjustments.
- Maintain accurate inventory control by overseeing receipts, transfers, stock reconciliations and markdown management to minimize shrink and optimize availability.
- Analyze daily and weekly sales, sell-through, and KPI reports to identify opportunities and risks; translate insights into tactical recommendations for pricing, allocation and promotions.
- Coordinate visual merchandising and in-store product presentation with store leadership and visual teams to ensure cohesive client experience.
- Provide product training and product story-telling guidance to sales teams to elevate client engagement and conversion.
- Manage administrative product tasks including purchase order follow-up, price maintenance, sample management and basic reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrable retail merchandising experience, preferably with luxury or premium brands.
- Strong analytical aptitude with the ability to interpret sales data and KPIs into actionable merchandising decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to liaise with retail partners and cross-functional teams.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a refined sense for luxury brand presentation.

Experience
2–4 years of progressive merchandising or product coordination experience in retail, preferably with exposure to luxury or premium fashion brands and wholesale retail partnerships.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing or equivalent professional experience.
