CHANEL is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to oversee boutique operations, lead and develop operational staff, and support efficiency, budget management, and elevated client service. The role requires at least three years of related experience, a flexible schedule that includes late nights, weekends, and some holidays, and an in-store presence; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. Full-time position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee boutique operations, including inventory control, shipping and receiving, alterations, facilities management, security, resource planning and staffing, compliance, and expense management.
- Collaborate with the Home Office Retail Operations team to develop and execute strategic initiatives that increase operational efficiency.
- Lead, coach, and inspire operational staff to deliver flawlessly.
- Foster a positive working environment and a feedback culture that encourages diversity, mutual respect, and teamwork.
- Serve as the expert resource on Standard Operating Procedures, systems, and tools for the entire boutique team.
- Lead the team through projects and take initiative.
- Assist in managing the boutique budget and forecasting expenditures.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and Boutique Leaders, sharing critical business knowledge.
- Maintain an in-store presence to develop and coach teams, uphold boutique image and operational standards, and deliver elevated client service to drive business results.
Qualifications
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and work collaboratively.
- Understanding of and passion for client experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Foreign language skills preferred but not required.
- Passion for the House of CHANEL, its history, product offerings, and commitment to social and cultural initiatives.
- Curiosity and desire to learn and grow professionally within the world of CHANEL.
- Ability to lift 15 lbs.
- Flexible schedule, including availability for late nights, weekends, and some holidays.
