Chanel internship: 6-month Assistant Merchandising Project Coordinator role in Fragrances & Beauty, Neuilly-sur-Seine, starting January 2027.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the project manager in overseeing 360-degree merchandising campaign deployment, developing assets including POS materials, visual merchandising concepts, transparencies, events, trade materials, and in-store films
  • Produce comprehensive campaign documentation including briefs, reference creation, and campaign guideline books required for operational deployment across markets
  • Ensure adherence to business strategy, brand image consistency, timelines, budgets, regional requirements, and CSR objectives through market implementation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional campaign stakeholders including Product Marketing, Creative Direction, Procurement, Publishing, Business Development, Forecasting, Supply Chain, and Regional teams
  • Establish planograms (IWD) and develop elements necessary for local market adaptations
  • Coordinate project governance and go-to-market initiatives in partnership with the project manager, including market coordination and merchandising pole alignment
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and analyze market needs to identify best and worst practices
  • Design merchandising information materials and ensure internal communication and dissemination
  • Schedule and coordinate project steering meetings, from organization through minute-taking and distribution
  • Organize and prepare presentations for strategic bodies including marketing planning sessions
  • Execute qualitative and quantitative studies and market research as needed
  • Serve as primary point of contact with regional markets, supporting in-store merchandising deployment through monthly calls and coordination

Qualifications

  • Graduate-level education from a business school or equivalent
  • Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal abilities, recognized for excellent communication
  • Expert project management skills with exceptional organizational rigor, attention to detail, and prioritization
  • Knowledge of merchandising software and vocabulary (IWD, Illustrator, SAP) is advantageous but not required
