Chanel seeks an Assistant Operations Manager for a 6-month internship in Nice (July–December 2023) to support boutique operations and drive retail performance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Track and analyze daily retail performance metrics including traffic, average basket value, and monthly objectives by product line
- Analyze commercial performance of sales associates and product collections, including sell-through rates and merchandising strategy
- Contribute to inventory planning for new collections and monitor sales performance
- Provide analytical support to boutique managers across sales, visual merchandising, and alteration services
- Onboard new team members and ensure smooth integration, including uniform distribution, badge issuance, and IT access provisioning
- Prepare team briefings and meeting agendas in coordination with boutique management
- Assist the Operations Manager in managing general services to maintain boutique standards and brand image
Qualifications
- Student enrolled in a business school, engineering school, or university programme
- Minimum six months' experience in analytical roles such as management, finance, or marketing, or previous boutique experience
- Excellent spreadsheet skills; mastery of Excel and PowerPoint required; VBA proficiency is advantageous
- Strong interest in fashion and luxury retail
- Exceptional communication skills and professional presentation
- Demonstrated numerical aptitude, versatility, and organizational discipline
