Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and manage the Fashion Retail Leadership Development Programme (RLDP) and associated boutique talent initiatives across Beijing retail operations.
  • Partner with store leadership, regional HRBP and global L&D to define competency frameworks, rotation plans and individual development pathways for retail leaders.
  • Conduct learning needs analyses, create curricula (classroom, on-the-job, coaching and e-learning) and commission external vendors or internal subject-matter experts as required.
  • Coach and mentor high-potential participants; provide regular feedback, performance calibration and succession planning recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Measure programme effectiveness through qualitative and quantitative KPIs (retention, promotion rate, engagement, sales impact) and deliver regular reporting to regional HR and business leads.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets and logistics for cohorts, assessment centres and experiential retail rotations.
  • Advise store management on talent diagnostics, capability building, and frontline leadership best practices to elevate customer experience and sales performance.
  • Ensure conformity with Chanel’s employer standards, confidentiality and cultural expectations across all talent interventions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or a related discipline; master’s degree or advanced L&D certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3–6 years’ experience in talent development, learning & development or retail HR, with demonstrable exposure to store operations or leadership programmes.
  • Proven track record designing and delivering leadership development programmes, assessment centres or coaching schemes.
  • Commercial acumen with ability to link people programmes to retail KPIs and business outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior retail leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; discretion and cultural sensitivity required for a luxury environment.

Experience
