Chanel seeks an Assistant Manager, Product in San Francisco to lead a sales team, drive product category performance, and deliver elevated client experiences in a luxury retail environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Coach and inspire the sales team on the selling floor to deliver elevated client experiences consistent with Chanel's heritage and service standards
- Foster a positive, inclusive working environment that encourages feedback, diversity, mutual respect, and collaborative teamwork
- Provide initial and ongoing training on Chanel savoir-faire, product details, and service delivery standards
- Drive all aspects of assigned product categories, including analysis, reporting, assortment planning, and partnership with Home Office buying teams
- Manage product category business with agility and resilience, leveraging key performance indicators and operational insights to drive continuous improvement
- Represent Chanel in the market through community involvement, partnerships with local high-profile businesses, and social and seasonal event leadership
- Maintain boutique image and operational standards whilst developing and coaching teams to deliver results
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of related retail or product management experience
- Passionate understanding of client experience and brand heritage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in team environments and work collaboratively
- Ability to lift 15 lbs regularly
- Flexible schedule with availability for late nights, weekends, and select holidays
- In-store presence required for team development and client engagement
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in retail management, product leadership, or related client-facing business roles. Demonstrated success leading and coaching diverse sales teams, driving product category performance, and delivering exceptional client experiences in a luxury or premium retail environment.
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 72,300 to USD 100,000 per annum.
