Chanel Assistant Manager, Product in New York, NY: Lead costume jewelry and accessories category operations with product expertise and 50% floor presence.
Role & Responsibilities
- Build and deepen category knowledge through daily engagement with product data, client feedback, floor observations, and reporting tools including the Fashion Merch Dashboard and product delivery dashboards
- Support the Manager, Product with reporting and product search responsibilities—ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Execute day-to-day product movement within the assigned category, managing incoming deliveries, boutique routing, and inter-boutique product requests under Manager, Product direction
- Support the client reserves lifecycle, assisting with VIC request documentation, Reserve Tool entry, and tracking reserve status with precision
- Maintain SKU-level tracking and accountability across the category, monitoring product status, sell-through pacing, and movement to proactively flag actions needed to the Manager, Product
- Gather and organize data that feeds category analyses including sell-through reports, sizing and segment performance data, client demand patterns, and missed sales tracking
- Consolidate buy review materials for the Manager, Product, including category performance summaries, client data pulls, historical sell-through comparisons, and reserve documentation
- Support the Manager, Product in documenting collection feedback and client reserves in the buying tool and serve as secondary point of contact for Home Office category buyer
- Execute day-to-day sell-through tracking at the category level, monitoring product movement and flagging emerging patterns or client interest to the Manager, Product
- Track client reserve conversion and review product requests, keeping Manager, Product and Area Director informed and aligned
- Observe product-client interactions on the floor and share observations with the Manager, Product and Fashion Training & Styling peers to refine in-season education and styling content
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of related retail, merchandising, or product management experience
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Deep passion and enthusiasm for product and style
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and work collaboratively
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfort with data and ability to gather, organize, and present information clearly
- Proficiency with reporting tools and dashboards
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift 15 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Flexible schedule with availability for late nights, weekends, and some holidays

Experience
Minimum 3 years of related experience in retail, merchandising, product operations, or adjacent category management roles within luxury fashion or accessories environments. Experience with product lifecycle management, inventory systems, or fashion data analysis is valued.
Education
Bachelor's degree (preferred). No specific field of study required, though experience in fashion merchandising, business, or related disciplines is advantageous.
