Chanel seeks an Assistant Manager, Product at South Coast Plaza (Costa Mesa, CA) to manage boutique merchandising, inventory and client experience.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support boutique merchandising strategy: execute product allocations, seasonal floor sets and stock replenishment in line with global directives.
- Manage inventory operations including receiving, stock organization, cycle counts and shrinkage-prevention processes.
- Coach and supervise boutique staff to deliver a consistently elevated client experience and achieve sales targets.
- Analyse sales, sell-through and stock KPIs to inform reorders and in-store merchandising decisions.
- Collaborate with visual merchandising and corporate product teams to implement launches, promotional events and bespoke client appointments.
- Ensure strict compliance with cash-handling, reporting, loss-prevention and brand operational standards.
- Act as on-site point of contact for vendor deliveries, repairs and boutique maintenance when required.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in luxury retail merchandising or product management, with supervisory responsibility.
- Demonstrable ability to translate sales data and inventory metrics into commercial actions.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with experience motivating small boutique teams.
- High standards of client service, discretion and professionalism appropriate to a premier luxury brand.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and peak retail periods; ability to work retail hours.

Experience
Typically 3+ years in luxury retail with at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant management capacity; direct experience with boutique-level merchandising and inventory control is expected.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, retail management or a related discipline preferred.
