Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and coach Team Managers to consistently deliver the Chanel experience to clients, identifying and addressing development needs through tailored action plans
  • Recruit, train, evaluate, and mentor boutique staff in partnership with the Boutique Director and HR team; establish succession plans and identify emerging talent
  • Set and monitor individual and team performance targets; assess progress and ensure achievement of productivity and sales goals
  • Create a positive, inclusive work environment that empowers the team, encourages innovation, and drives engagement with business objectives
  • Support the Boutique Director in leading business development by cultivating strategic market knowledge and maintaining stakeholder relationships
  • Champion a customer-centric mindset and service excellence; partner with the CRM team to identify client opportunities and maximize retention
  • Maximize product category performance across all departments; coordinate visual merchandising, clientelling, training, and events to drive cross-category synergies
  • Build and nurture a loyal clientele using CRM tools and establishing long-term relationship strategies
  • Communicate company policies, operational standards, and procedures; propose continuous improvement actions aligned with Chanel standards
  • Monitor headcount and staffing levels; support the Boutique Director in monthly headcount reviews
  • Supervise asset protection protocols and loss prevention initiatives; implement stock audits and maintain shrinkage within boutique budget
  • Ensure team proficiency in point-of-sale systems, cash handling procedures, and stock loss control protocols
  • Manage health and safety responsibilities in partnership with Store Support
  • Communicate strategic vision, targets, and House values to the boutique team; act as the voice of boutique leadership and headquarters
  • Support Chanel's House Sustainability Ambitions across all four pillars: Restoring Nature and Climate, Investing in Circularity, Advancing Dignity and Prosperity, and Promoting Women's Autonomy

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable boutique management or supervisory experience within luxury goods or equivalent retail environment
  • Developed leadership and team management capabilities
