Chanel seeks an Operations Assistant for its Paris fashion boutique – a 6-month internship starting January 2023 supporting store operations and performance analysis.
Role & Responsibilities
- Analyze sales performance and daily boutique results; conduct ongoing performance monitoring
- Perform monthly and ad-hoc product performance analysis (sell-through rates, slow-moving vs. best-selling items, merchandising support, purchase tracking)
- Evaluate and monitor vendor performance metrics on a monthly and ad-hoc basis
- Assist the Operations Manager in coordinating general store services including maintenance, security, and IT
- Prepare purchase orders and procurement requests (supplies, printing, uniforms) within allocated budget parameters
- Track and ensure timely customer shipment processing
- Support preparation of team briefings and operational information meetings
Qualifications
- Student enrolled in a business school or university programme
- First experience in retail (sales, inventory management) or finance/general management
- Genuine interest in fashion and retail career development
- Excellent professional presentation and strong interpersonal skills
- Fluent English proficiency
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Skills
Experience
First experience in retail operations, sales, inventory management, or finance/general management is required or strongly preferred.
Education
Currently enrolled student in a business school (école de commerce) or university programme.
