Chanel in Paris is hiring an Assistant Jewelry Designer Intern (Sept 2026) to support the fine jewelry design studio.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the jewelry design team in conception and development of seasonal collections and one-off pieces.
- Produce hand sketches, technical drawings and moodboards to communicate design intent.
- Assist in creation and preparation of technical packs and materials specifications for prototyping.
- Collaborate with model-makers, bench jewellers and external workshops to follow sample production and adjustments.
- Research gemstones, metals, finishes and emerging trends to inform creative proposals.
- Organise and maintain design archives, material libraries and presentation boards.
- Prepare presentations and visual materials for internal reviews and buyer meetings.
- Participate in fittings, quality checks and documentation of samples throughout the prototype cycle.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a recognised jewellery design, industrial design, fine arts or related programme.
- Demonstrable portfolio showing strong hand sketching, sense of proportion and aesthetic for fine jewelry.
- Solid understanding of jewelry techniques, materials and production processes (stone-setting, casting, finishing).
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a studio environment.
- Professional discretion and respect for confidential creative work.

Experience
Early-career or student level; prior internships or project work in luxury accessories, jewelry ateliers or design studios preferred but not mandatory.
Education
Enrolment in or recent completion of a degree or diploma in jewellery design, industrial design, fine arts or a closely related discipline.
