Role & Responsibilities
- Support senior embroidery designers in conceiving and developing broderie concepts for ready-to-wear and couture collections.
- Produce technical sketches, detailed flat drawings and material specifications for embroidery and embellishment work.
- Assist in the preparation, sampling and fitting of embroidered prototypes in the sampleroom and ateliers.
- Select threads, beads, sequins and trims and manage material swatches and suppliers for embroidery components.
- Work closely with pattern cutting, moulding and production teams to ensure accurate placement and constructability of embroideries.
- Document all stages of development: sample records, technical dossiers, bills of materials and quality checkpoints.
- Participate in quality control of finished embroideries and support troubleshooting during atelier production.
- Maintain the embroidery archive and contribute to trend research and inspiration boards.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in fashion design, textile design, surface ornamentation or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable interest in couture embroidery with a curated portfolio or photographic documentation of relevant work.
- Strong manual dexterity and sensitivity to colour, texture and finishing details.
- Capacity to translate creative sketches into precise technical instructions and sampling requests.
- Discretion and respect for confidentiality of designs and collections.
- Organisational rigour and ability to manage multiple samples and tight development timelines.
- Professional communication skills and collaborative attitude when liaising with ateliers and suppliers.

Experience
Internship-level role. Prior internships, atelier placements or academic projects in couture embroidery, samplerooms or textile workshops are advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Surface Ornamentation or equivalent vocational qualification.
