Chanel (Neuilly-sur-Seine) seeks an Alternance Assistant Designer, Scenography & Events for Parfums Beauté — apprenticeship in spatial and event design.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the senior designer in development of scenographic concepts, mood boards and technical design proposals for product launches, press events and in-store activations.
  • Produce and adapt technical drawings, plans and 3D views to translate creative briefs into buildable solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (marketing, PR, visual merchandising) to ensure concept alignment and timing.
  • Liaise with external suppliers, ateliers and production teams to obtain quotes, samples and manufacturing specifications.
  • Assist in budgeting, procurement tracking and maintenance of project documentation and schedules.
  • Participate in on-site installation, quality control and debriefing; help supervise fit-outs and logistics on event days.
  • Manage samples, props and set inventory; prepare layouts and explanatory materials for client and partner reviews.
  • Contribute to post-event reporting, photographic documentation and archiving of scenographic assets.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a recognised higher-education programme in scenography, spatial design, event design, interior design, stage design or related discipline (Bachelor’s or Master’s cycle).
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong spatial thinking, sketching, concept development and examples of built or prototyped projects.
  • Excellent visual sensibility, meticulous attention to materiality and finishing details.
  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and third‑party suppliers.
  • Professional-level French and good command of English; effective written and verbal communication for cross‑functional collaboration.

Experience

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in scenography, spatial/event design, interior design, stage design, or equivalent vocational training.
