Chanel seeks a Business Planning Specialist in Fashion Merchandising for a 6-month internship in Paris, starting January 2027. Support inventory optimization and data-driven merchandising across Europe.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance retail performance reporting tools (sales, stock, sell-through rate, month of coverage)
- Plan and optimize inventory allocation across boutiques and countries, coordinating with supply chain and central stock management
- Support centralized purchasing analysis and automatic replenishment management of iconic Maison products
- Maintain and update European database integrity in collaboration with data teams
- Ensure data reliability and manage monitoring dashboards for boutique purchasing (Power BI)
- Contribute to sales forecasting enhancement projects utilizing data science methodologies
- Participate in process automation and continuous improvement initiatives for centralized iconic product management
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Excel with advanced formulas and database management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent organizational skills and autonomy
- Adaptation and analytical capacity in dynamic environments
- Fluent English to communicate across European markets
- Power BI proficiency (preferred)
- Aptitude for numerical analysis and reporting
Skills
Experience
Academic background with a strong quantitative focus; exposure to merchandising, supply chain, or inventory management principles is advantageous but not required. Candidates should demonstrate an analytical mindset and proven ability to work autonomously with complex datasets.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, or related quantitative discipline; or equivalent professional experience demonstrating strong analytical capabilities.
