Chanel seeks an Assistant Boutique Director in Westport, Connecticut to support luxury retail operations, team leadership, and premium client experiences.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Boutique Director in all facets of store operations and strategic initiatives
- Oversee daily retail operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and merchandising standards
- Lead, train, and mentor boutique sales associates to ensure exceptional client service and performance metrics achievement
- Drive sales performance and revenue targets whilst maintaining the Chanel brand experience
- Manage client relationships and develop personalized clienteling strategies to enhance retention and lifetime value
- Ensure strict adherence to visual merchandising guidelines and brand aesthetic standards
- Coordinate with regional and head office teams on promotional campaigns, product launches, and seasonal initiatives
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, local labour regulations, and loss prevention protocols
- Analyze sales data and key performance indicators to inform strategic decisions and identify improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in luxury retail management or assistant management roles
- Proven track record of driving sales and achieving KPIs in a multi-brand or branded environment
- Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and develop team members
- Exceptional client service skills and ability to deliver personalized luxury retail experiences
- Knowledge of luxury brand heritage, product categories, and clienteling principles
- Proficiency in retail management systems and point-of-sale software
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French and/or additional languages is advantageous
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in luxury retail management, assistant store manager roles, or equivalent boutique leadership positions. Prior experience with Chanel or other high-end fashion brands is strongly preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is preferred.
