Chanel seeks an Assistant Boutique Director for its Westport Fragrance & Beauty boutique. Lead luxury retail operations and inspire exceptional client experiences.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as key partner to Boutique Director; develop and lead team in conjunction with Director and assume boutique oversight during Director's absence
- Successfully lead sales floor team by demonstrating superior service to every client and providing ongoing floor coverage and leadership
- Foster a positive, collaborative working environment that encourages diversity, mutual respect, and teamwork, free of discrimination and harassment
- Leverage product, service, and artistry fluency to coach and elevate team expertise, ensuring exceptional client experiences
- Allocate time strategically: approximately 60% on the sales floor and 40% on back-of-house operations, including inventory management and operational execution
- Manage stock replenishment, merchandising standards, and all sales floor operational requirements including areas of pride and store presentation
- Serve as operations lead for the MMS system, communicating inventory and supply needs to the Boutique Director, and overseeing receiving, checking, shipping, and damage procedures
- Establish and maintain an organized and controlled stock storage system in adherence to operational standards
- Enforce all Standard Operating Procedures and educate team members as needed to uphold boutique standards
- Build and maintain relationships with key corporate partners to support ongoing operational requirements
- Contribute to annual inventory reporting and reconciliation with store team partnership
- Assist Boutique Director in all event planning, coordination, orchestration, and execution
- Create and foster a culture of personalized client relationships and memorable in-store and after-sales experiences
- Uphold omni-channel mindset to ensure seamless client experience across in-store and online channels
- Co-own brand image, hygiene standards, and visual merchandising requirements and execution
- Attend seasonal education seminars and corporate meetings to remain current on product offerings and strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years of related leadership or sales experience in a luxury retail environment and/or operational role preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and operationally savvy
- Demonstrated ability to coach and lead teams effectively
- Capacity to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet tight deadlines
- Flexible schedule with ability to work late evenings, weekends, and select holidays
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative retail environment

Skills
Experience
3+ years of related leadership or sales experience in a luxury retail environment and/or operational role preferred. Experience in beauty, fragrance, or luxury goods retail is advantageous. Proven track record of successfully managing retail teams, driving sales performance, and maintaining elevated brand standards required.
Education
High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 34.70 to USD 36 per hour.
