Chanel seeks a Fragrance & Beauty Area Sales Manager in Hangzhou to lead multi-store teams and drive regional retail growth.
Role & Responsibilities
- Direct and accelerate sell-out performance across assigned stores in the Hangzhou area, ensuring achievement of revenue, conversion and average transaction value targets.
- Lead, coach and develop store managers and sales teams to elevate clientelling, product knowledge and customer experience to Chanel standards.
- Own local commercial planning: implement promotional calendars, product launches, and activation plans in coordination with regional and HQ teams.
- Monitor and analyse sales KPIs, inventory levels and sell-through; produce accurate forecasts and delivery plans to optimise availability and reduce stock obsolescence.
- Ensure consistent brand presentation and visual merchandising compliance across all outlets; drive excellence in in-store experience and luxury standards.
- Recruit, onboard and retain high-potential retail talent; manage performance reviews and succession planning for the area.
- Collaborate with marketing, merchandising and operations to tailor local initiatives, event hospitality and CRM campaigns that deepen client engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, luxury management or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven managerial experience within luxury beauty, fragrance or cosmetics retail, ideally with responsibility for multiple stores.
- Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing P&L-related responsibilities.
- Excellent leadership and people-development skills with experience coaching high-performing retail teams.
- Exceptional interpersonal and client relationship skills with a service-driven mindset and attention to discretion.

Typically 5+ years of progressive experience in luxury retail sales, with a minimum of 2 years in area or multi-store management within the beauty or fragrance sector; demonstrable success in driving regional sales growth and managing teams.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, luxury management or equivalent professional experience.
