Role & Responsibilities
- Perform routine physicochemical and microbiological analyses on raw materials, intermediates and finished cosmetics and fragrance products according to established SOPs.
- Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation including HPLC and GC; prepare samples and reagents and ensure proper calibration and documentation.
- Record, interpret and report analytical results accurately in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems; escalate out-of-specification results to supervisors.
- Support method development and validation activities under the direction of senior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory processes.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards (GLP/HSE), maintain reagent stocks and participate in equipment maintenance and internal audits.
Qualifications
- Enrollment in an alternance/apprenticeship programme in analytical chemistry, chemistry, cosmetic science or equivalent technical diploma (BTS/DUT/licence professionnelle).
- Practical laboratory training gained through academic practicals or internships; familiarity with basic wet chemistry and sample preparation techniques.
- Working knowledge of chromatography techniques (HPLC, GC) and standard analytical methods; ability to follow SOPs and laboratory safety rules.
- Strong attention to detail, methodical recordkeeping and the ability to communicate results clearly in writing and verbally.

Experience
Some hands‑on laboratory experience is expected via previous internships, vocational placements or academic practicals; this is an apprenticeship position intended for candidates at the beginning of their professional trajectory.
Education
Currently enrolled in an approved alternance/apprenticeship programme or a technical degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry or cosmetic science (BTS, DUT, licence professionnelle or equivalent).
