Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and validate analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates and finished perfumes and cosmetic products.
  • Perform routine and investigative testing using chromatography and spectrometry techniques; interpret data and author technical reports.
  • Lead method transfers and technology handovers between internal laboratories and external contract testing organisations.
  • Define analytical specifications and contribute to stability programs, shelf‑life studies and product release decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D formulators, quality control, regulatory affairs and external partners to resolve analytical issues and support product development timelines.
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards and contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory processes.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in analytical method development and validation within the perfume, cosmetics or consumer goods industries.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to fragrances and cosmetics.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage method transfers and work effectively with external contract laboratories.
  • Strong scientific writing skills and experience preparing technical specifications and stability reports.
