Role & Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and optimize physico-chemical analytical methods using chromatography and mass spectrometry techniques
- Conduct technology monitoring and bibliographic research to support method development projects
- Transfer and monitor analytical methods to internal teams and oversee their implementation
- Interpret analytical results and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders across the laboratory
- Collaborate with cross-functional fragrance teams to solve scientific problems and address regulatory and quality control concerns
- Mentor and train laboratory collaborators, trainees, and apprentices in analytical techniques
- Manage laboratory equipment calibration, maintenance, and vendor relationships for reagents and consumables
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental requirements, and best laboratory practices (GLP)
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and analytical instrument portfolio planning
Qualifications
- Master's degree (Bac+5 to Bac+8) in analytical chemistry or related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in analytical chemistry or related laboratory environment
- Demonstrated expertise in physico-chemical analytical techniques, particularly chromatography and mass spectrometry
- Experience with high-resolution mass spectrometry is preferred
- Knowledge of statistical tools for analytical method development and validation (design of experiments, data analysis) is valued
- Proficiency with standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
