Chanel Analytical Development Intern – Natural Products, Pantin. 6-month chemistry internship (January 2027) developing chromatography methods.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature review on polar compound analysis (saccharides, polyols, organic acids, ionic compounds)
  • Develop and optimize ion chromatography methods for quantifying polar compounds
  • Develop and optimize gas chromatography methods (GC-FID/GC-MS)
  • Evaluate analytical method performance and robustness
  • Apply validated methods to raw materials, natural extracts, and fermentation media from the ingredient portfolio
  • Prepare analytical instructions, procedures, and comprehensive study reports
  • Ensure proper functioning of laboratory instrumentation and manage consumable inventory
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain laboratory organization standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree +5 years or equivalent in chemistry with specialization in analytical chemistry
  • Strong knowledge of analytical methods (GC, LC, MS)
  • Experience with natural product analysis (preferred)
  • Familiarity with data management and database systems (preferred)

Experience
