Chanel seeks an Alterations Trainer Manager in New York to lead tailoring training programs and maintain luxury garment service standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for alterations and tailoring staff across multiple locations
- Establish and maintain quality standards for garment alterations and bespoke tailoring services
- Train and mentor alterations technicians on advanced techniques, fabric handling, and luxury finishing standards
- Create standardized training materials and documentation for alterations procedures and best practices
- Monitor training effectiveness and provide ongoing coaching to ensure consistent service excellence
- Collaborate with retail operations to identify skill gaps and customize training curricula
- Maintain awareness of the latest tailoring techniques and luxury garment care standards
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in luxury garment alterations and tailoring
- Proven expertise in training and staff development within a luxury retail or fashion environment

Minimum 8–10 years of hands-on experience in luxury garment alterations, tailoring, or bespoke services, with at least 3–5 years in a training, supervisory, or management capacity within a luxury fashion or retail environment.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or formal certification in tailoring, fashion design, or garment construction preferred.
