Role & Responsibilities

• Uphold production standards to deliver the ultimate CHANEL experience to clients
• Properly fit each garment and execute alterations across a wide range of luxury garment types
• Organize and maintain client-owned pieces in alignment with CHANEL expectations
• Interact with clients to provide styling and fitting advice
• Maintain current knowledge of CHANEL-specific alteration techniques, including luxury fabrication and styling
• Ensure sewing machines and equipment remain in proper working order
• Build positive team relationships throughout the boutique to inspire trust and collaboration
• Alter and repair clients' garments, including hemming, mending, lengthening, and taking in or letting out seams
• Fit garments on clients to determine proper alteration specifications
• Construct garments according to clients' specifications and preferences
• Label clients' garments and record required alterations
• Communicate with clients to determine specifications, needs, and preferences
• Use irons and pressing machines to remove creases from garments

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of alterations experience in a luxury retail environment
• Sound knowledge of various luxury fabrics and advanced sewing techniques
• Demonstrated expertise in specialty skills such as leather, knits, double-face, beading, fine tailoring, and buttonholes
• Ability to work effectively under time constraints
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Exceptional client service skills
• Effective communication abilities
• Ability to lift 15 pounds regularly
• Flexible schedule with availability for late nights, weekends, and some holidays
• Minimum High School Diploma

Skills

Experience

Minimum 5 years of alterations experience in a luxury retail environment is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in specialty techniques including leather work, knits, double-face fabrics, beading, fine tailoring, and buttonholes. Strong ability to work under time constraints while maintaining exceptional quality standards is essential.

Education

Minimum High School Diploma required.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 27.70 to USD 44 per hour.
