Role & Responsibilities
- Execute alterations to Chanel's exacting standards, including hemming, mending, seam adjustments, and garment construction
- Fit garments on clients and determine appropriate alteration specifications based on their needs and preferences
- Maintain specialized knowledge of Chanel alteration techniques, fabrication properties, and luxury styling standards
- Organize and preserve client-owned pieces according to Chanel's quality expectations and labeling protocols
- Communicate with clients to understand specifications, preferences, and concerns; provide professional styling and fitting advice
- Ensure all sewing machines and alteration equipment are maintained in proper working order
- Foster positive team relationships within the boutique and contribute to an inclusive, collaborative work environment
- Support boutique operations including inventory receiving, product shipping, and opening/closing procedures as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of alterations experience in a luxury retail environment
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in specialty techniques such as leather work, knits, double-face fabrics, beading, and fine tailoring
- Sound, comprehensive knowledge of various fabrics and advanced sewing techniques
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to execute complex alterations with precision
- Proven client service excellence and ability to interact professionally with discerning clientele
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift 15 pounds regularly
- Physical capability to work extended hours, including late nights, weekends, and select holidays
