Role & Responsibilities
- Uphold production standards to deliver the ultimate CHANEL experience to clients
- Properly fit garments on clients and execute alterations across a wide range of apparel
- Organize and maintain client-owned pieces in accordance with CHANEL expectations
- Interact with clients to provide styling and fitting advice
- Maintain current knowledge of alteration techniques specific to CHANEL, including luxury fabrication and styling
- Ensure sewing machines and equipment are maintained in proper working order
- Build positive team relationships throughout the boutique to inspire trust and collaboration
- Alter and repair clients' garments, including hemming, mending, lengthening, and taking in or letting out seams
- Construct garments according to clients' specifications and preferences
- Label clients' garments and accurately record alteration requirements
- Communicate with clients to determine their specifications, needs, and styling preferences
- Use irons and pressing machines to remove creases from garments and articles
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of alterations experience in a luxury retail environment
- Sound knowledge of various fabrics and advanced sewing techniques
- Technical expertise in specialty skills such as leather, knits, double-face, beading, and fine tailoring
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Ability to lift 15 lb.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Minimum 5 years of specialized alterations experience in a luxury retail environment. Demonstrated proficiency with delicate luxury fabrics, complex tailoring techniques, and high-volume production within strict timeframes. Proven ability to work collaboratively within a boutique retail setting while maintaining exacting quality standards.
