Chanel Alterations Specialist, Boca Raton, FL | Luxury garment tailoring role with $27.70–$35.00/hour compensation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality alterations within established timeframe standards, ensuring meticulous execution on delicate materials including fine tweeds, silks, and signature Chanel chains
- Properly fit each garment on clients and execute alterations across a comprehensive range of luxury apparel
- Perform hemming, mending, lengthening, seam taking-in and letting-out, and other advanced tailoring techniques
- Fit garments on clients to determine precise alteration specifications and provide styling and fitting recommendations
- Maintain organized systems for client-owned pieces in accordance with Chanel standards and boutique protocols
- Construct and repair garments according to client specifications and preferences
- Label client pieces and record all alteration requirements with precision
- Communicate with clients to ascertain specifications, needs, and preferences
- Use pressing equipment and irons to finish garments to luxury standards
- Maintain sewing machines and alteration equipment in proper working order
- Build positive team relationships throughout the boutique to foster trust and effective collaboration
- Uphold production standards to deliver the ultimate Chanel experience
- Support boutique operations including opening, closing, inventory receiving, and product shipping to ensure optimal client service
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of prior alterations experience in a luxury retail environment
- Sound knowledge of various fabrics and advanced sewing techniques
- Strong technical background in specialty skills such as leather, knits, double-face, beading, and fine tailoring
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints while maintaining exceptional quality
- Exceptional client service skills and interpersonal abilities
- Detail-oriented mindset with meticulous attention to accuracy
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and collaborate effectively
- Understanding of and passion for client experience
- Excellent communication skills

- High School Diploma (minimum)
- Ability to lift 15 lbs regularly

Skills
Experience
Previous alterations experience in a luxury retail environment of a minimum 5 years is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with intricate garment construction, delicate material handling, and luxury clientele is essential.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 27.70 to USD 35 per hour.
