Role & Responsibilities
- Uphold production standards to consistently deliver the ultimate Chanel experience to clients
- Properly fit garments on clients and execute alterations across a wide range of luxury pieces, including hemming, mending, lengthening, and seam adjustments
- Organize and maintain client-owned pieces in accordance with Chanel expectations
- Interact with clients to provide styling and fitting advice tailored to their needs
- Maintain current knowledge of alteration techniques specific to Chanel, including fabrication and styling of luxury garments
- Ensure sewing machines and other equipment are in proper working order
- Build positive team relationships throughout the boutique to inspire trust and collaboration
- Label client garments and record all alterations required with precision
- Communicate with clients to determine specifications, needs, and preferences
- Use irons and pressing machines to remove creases and finalize garments
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of related alterations experience in a luxury retail environment
- Sound knowledge of various fabrics and advanced sewing techniques, including leather, knits, double-face, beading, and fine tailoring
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work under time constraints without compromising quality
- Exceptional client service orientation
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Physical ability to lift 15 pounds regularly
- Flexible schedule with availability for late nights, weekends, and select holidays

Experience
Minimum 5 years of alterations experience in a luxury retail environment is preferred. Demonstrated technical expertise in specialty skills such as leather work, knit construction, double-face fabrication, beading, fine tailoring, and buttonhole execution is essential. Candidates should possess a proven track record of delivering high-quality alterations within established timelines while maintaining exceptional client relationships.
