Role & Responsibilities

• Learn and practise fundamental woven and knitwear alteration techniques under mentorship during the first year
• Assist experienced Alterationists with customer alteration orders, progressing from simple to increasingly complex garments
• Support seasonal uniform alterations and maintenance work throughout the apprenticeship
• Develop customer-centric service mindset through fitting experience and direct client interaction in the latter half of year two
• Provide pinning support and customer reception assistance during the final six months at Les Ateliers
• Observe and understand complex alteration procedures to build advanced technical knowledge
• Contribute to maintaining Chanel's exacting standards for accuracy, timeliness, and craftsmanship in all alteration work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in fashion design, clothing, textiles, or closely related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 1–2 years of workplace experience communicating and collaborating with diverse stakeholders (customers, colleagues, internal departments)
• Demonstrated interest in fashion and Haute Couture methodology
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong commitment to quality and accuracy

Skills

Experience

Minimum 1–2 years of professional experience in a workplace environment with demonstrated ability to engage with customers, colleagues, and cross-functional stakeholders. Prior experience in customer-facing roles, bespoke tailoring, or luxury service environments is preferred.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in fashion design, clothing and textiles, fashion merchandising, or equivalent discipline. Formal training in garment construction, sewing, or alterations techniques is advantageous.
