Chanel is hiring an Advanced Analytics Manager for Watches & Fine Jewelry in Hong Kong — lead analytics for North Asia retail, e‑commerce and CRM.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the advanced analytics strategy for Watches & Fine Jewelry across North Asia, aligning measurement frameworks with commercial objectives (retail, wholesale and e‑commerce).
  • Develop predictive models and quantitative frameworks for demand forecasting, assortment optimization, pricing, markdown simulation and product lifecycle analysis.
  • Design and deliver executive-level dashboards and self-service analytics using BI tools to track KPIs (sell-through, inventory days, conversion, AUR, retention) across markets.
  • Conduct customer segmentation, CLV modelling and attribution analysis to inform CRM, clienteling and marketing investments for high-value clients.
  • Partner closely with regional commercial leads, merchandising, retail operations, marketing and IT to translate data insights into actionable commercial plans.
  • Own data quality and governance requirements for Watches & Fine Jewelry datasets; coordinate with data engineering to operationalize pipelines and models (ETL, data validation).
  • Lead, mentor and develop a small analytics team and external consultants; set priorities, deliverables and SLAs for analytics projects.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings succinctly to non-technical stakeholders and support decision-making with clear recommendations and pro formas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or related quantitative discipline; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven ability to translate advanced analytics into commercial outcomes within retail or luxury sectors.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior commercial and merchandising leaders across multiple markets.
  • Demonstrated experience in deploying analytics projects end-to-end: scoping, modelling, deployment and change adoption.
  • Experience managing small teams and external partners, with clear delivery ownership and prioritisation capabilities.

Experience

Typically 5+ years in analytics or data science roles, with a minimum of 2–3 years focused on retail, luxury goods, or consumer-facing businesses; prior exposure to watches, jewelry or fashion retail is highly advantageous.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field required; master's degree or equivalent advanced qualification preferred.
