Chanel seeks an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager in Neuilly-sur-Seine to lead a specialist team and oversee customer accounting operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of three accountants and one trainee, setting clear objectives and managing priorities and schedules
- Organize and conduct regular team meetings, monitor performance against targets, and escalate operational issues to the Head of Customer Accounting
- Oversee and quality-control all routine accounts receivable operations including data entry, interface reconciliation, VAT controls, customer account matching, payment follow-up, and collections activities
- Prepare and coordinate month-end and year-end closing procedures in collaboration with the Credit Management team, including closing meeting documentation, management accounts schedules, and anomaly analysis
- Draft management commentaries on customer accounts and forecasting documents
- Provide support during external audits conducted by statutory auditors
- Draft responses to tax authority inquiries and ensure compliance with internal control procedures
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, including automation, procedure documentation, and systems optimization
- Actively participate in cross-functional projects and contribute best practices across the finance division
Qualifications
- Upper-level accounting or finance degree (Bac +3/+4 minimum)
- Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in customer/accounts receivable accounting
- Demonstrated team management experience
- Expert knowledge of French accounting standards and solid understanding of IFRS
- Strong proficiency in Excel and SAP
- Professional English proficiency preferred

Experience
Minimum 10 years in accounting, with at least 5 years in customer accounting operations, preferably in multi-entity environments. Prior experience in team management required.
Education
Upper-level degree in accounting, finance, or related field (Bac +3 or Bac +4).
