Chanel is seeking an Accountant in Almaty to manage supplier and contractor settlements, imports, employee expenses, travel costs and goods accounting. The role requires at least three years of accounting experience and English at Pre-Intermediate level or above; retail experience and DipIFR are advantages.
Role & Responsibilities
- Record suppliers’ and contractors’ primary documents in the accounting system.
- Account for import transactions, including imports from EAEU countries.
- Reconcile settlements with suppliers and contractors.
- Maintain the purchase ledger.
- Review and record employee expense reports.
- Account for business travel expenses.
- Record the receipt of goods.
- Account for all types of goods disposals, including sales, write-offs, gratuitous transfers and other transactions.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience as an accountant, preferably at an international company.
- Confident knowledge of foreign-exchange and tax legislation, as well as IFRS principles.
- Experience handling large volumes of data and effectively prioritizing in a multitasking environment.
- Practical experience working with ERP systems.
- English proficiency at Pre-Intermediate level or above.
- DipIFR qualification is an advantage.
- Retail experience is an advantage.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Openness to collaboration and constructive interaction with colleagues.
- Willingness to ask questions, share ideas and find solutions collaboratively.
- Interest in acquiring new knowledge and developing professionally.
