Staff Accountant VIE at Chandon, Yountville, California — LVMH international assignment in wine and spirits accounting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Record supplier invoices daily following PSP system protocols and ensure proper approval and coding per company policies
- Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury accounts monthly, investigating discrepancies
- Monitor customer, supplier, and treasury account balances and flagging potential issues
- Prepare and record customer invoices in accordance with company policies
- Record treasury transactions and cash movements daily
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of accounting data within SAP systems (CO-FI modules)
- Respond to accounting-related inquiries from various departments
- Participate in monthly closing activities including accrual bookings and miscoding corrections
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to efficiency initiatives
Qualifications
- Business School or Accounting degree
- At least one year of accounting experience
- Previous LVMH experience required
- Fluent in English
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to complete VIE assignment in the United States for 12–18 months
Skills
Experience
At least one year of accounting experience required; prior finance experience is a plus. Previous LVMH experience is mandatory for this international assignment.
